When we perceive the word addiction, we generally relate it to alcohol or drug but today the word addiction has not only stuck to a few things which are known because it has been dispersed and stuck to the numerous elements.

The word addiction means to be attracted to anything more than a normal ratio. When an individual believes that something would alter his mood into a pleasant one and that thing is the only source of relieving his pain, at this moment, an individual is unable to get rid of the thing that he has been fascinated to.

HOW DOES THE ADDICTION INITIATE?

    Presently, every individual is running after money and if his one desire gets fulfilled, he starts to chase the next. In this process, if he doesn’t get what he wants, he becomes depressed. This is the time when an individual wants a shoulder to cry on or someone who is not reluctant to listen his stories. Besides this, at this stage the fake and real ones around can easily be recognized. An individual therefore needs to accept the bitter truth. However, when an individual finds no one to be with him, he begins to look for materialistic things and he deeply gets involved in the things which remake his feelings and soul. That’s how he becomes addicted. Addiction is so strong that he can’t survive without. Do only smoking, alcohol and drugs cause addiction? Let’s discuss some other factors that people are hooked on.

SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION:    

    People are nowadays crooked in Facebook and Instagram platform. By scrolling up and down, viewing others’ life stories and sharing their own refresh their mood for a short span of time and after receiving likes and comments, people rush to share more about their lifestyle. Facebook and other social websites are good as long as one is not addicted to them. The purpose of life is not to sit entire day in front of screen, connected to the media world while disconnected to the people around you. If you do this, you are doing wrong with yourself. Firstly, adhering to the screen for long hours makes an individual lazy. He doesn’t want himself to be delegated with any responsibility and neglect the gold saying that “A responsible person holds a respectable position in the society.” Secondly, viewing for long time turns your eyesight weak and slows down an individual’s brain functions. Thirdly, an individual puts himself at high risk by being connected to on-screen people. He completely ignores the valuable relations and as a result, break-ups and communication barriers may occur.

STEPS TO OVERCOME:      

It’s not easy to get rid of such activities that an individual is addicted to. However, it’s not impossible. First and foremost, an individual needs to follow simple steps.

·         Restrict yourself for specific time.

·         Try to not to overthink about that problem because it will make present moment worse.

·         Try to keep yourself busy in different sort of work so that you won’t be able to entertain worries.

·         Try to analyze, if any bad thing happened to you, know that it happened surely for a good reason.

·         Live and love the present, stay focused for the future.

TEA ADDICTION:

Do you belong to that group of people who prefer to take tea in morning and in evening daily and if you don’t take then you feel lethargic, drowsiness and have headache? If you are nodding then you are required to avoid consuming it too unnecessarily.

STEPS TO OVERCOME:

·     Instead of consuming tea in morning time, consume healthy drinks.

·         Consume tea in a specific time between 4pm to 5pm.

·         Don’t get emotionally attached to tea. For instance, when people are happy, they want tea and when they are depressed, they want tea. So don’t be like such people.

 

Hence by following the above steps, one can get rid of addiction of tea and social media.
